Castello di Borghese Vineyard Wedding || Allegra & Stephan in Cutchogue, NY

A Long Island Winery Wedding

Going out east means something different on Long Island. It means to get away from the bustle and business and disconnect from whatever you have going on at work. To DND your phone and set your out of office in your email.

The life on the North Fork hasn't changed in sometime and if it did, it really is traveling at a snail's pace and thats a good thing. A really good thing.

Wine country spans the north fork with the furthest east winery going a few hundred yards passed Greenport.

Located between Riverhead and Greenport is Castello di Borghese. A family owned winery that creates some amazing wines with an amazing history.

This summer, I had the opportunity work with Jon Schusteritsch, a talented photographer on the North Fork, to photograph Allegra & Stephan's wedding . Not only was it the venue that they chose, it's also home to their, well, home.

Allegra's last name is Borghese which coincidentally is the name of the winery. I would probably choose to have my wedding within the vines of my family owned winery as well.

On the other side of the aisle was Stephan, a world class chef hailing from Cutchogue with his childhood home across the street from the winery. Not a bad timeline for driving to locations!

A gorgeous ceremony held right behind the vineyards had the most amazing sunset light you could imagine with the slight breeze helping keep everyone cool. A large tent made for the most perfect reception location as well just a short walk from the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Produce and meats from local farms helped to create a menu put together by the Groom himself. Old co-workers worked the kitchen creating culinary masterpieces while the amazing artwork by Kara Hoblin led guests to their seats, depicted the menus and drinks, and showed where guests should deposit their gifts.

All in all, a magical day among the vines with Allegra & Stephan. Congrats again to you two!
